  Investment Funds



Investment Fund is a vehicle used by an Investment Manager to gather funds from the public for investment in a Securities Portfolio (Art 1 item 27. of Capital Market Law).

There are two types of Investment Funds:

1. Closed-end Investment Fund
An Investment Fund where the shareholders can sell their shares back to the Issuers. Usually Closed-end Investment Fund is listed at Stock Exchange. Closed-end Investment Fund is established by founding a company. The investors of Closed-end Investment Fund are also its shareholders.

2. Open-end Investment Fund
Open-end Investment Fund is established based on contract between Investment Manager and Custody. This Investment Fund issues participation units.
